Culinary Kitchen Rotation

In this position you´ll be responsible for:

-Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food. Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
-Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
-Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist
-Prepare cold foods
-Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
-Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently.
-Monitor food quality while preparing food.
-Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles.
-Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
-Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food.

The perfect candidate is

-Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a Culinary degree -Previous experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area preferred -Be accountable and a team player -Be able to work in a fast-paced environment with great attention to detail

Waltham is also home to Brandeis University and Bentley University. The City of Waltham has been frequently called "watch city" because of its association with the watch industry. Waltham Watch Company, a revolutionary cotton textile mill situated along the Charles River, opened its factory in Waltham in 1854 and was the first company to make watches on an assembly line. The company produced over 35 million watches, clocks and instruments before it closed in 1957, and would prove to be a milestone in the American Industrial Revolution.
